Application

Apply with a brush, roller or rag for small areas. A small hand pump, weed sprayer or conventional spray equipment can produce a finely atomised spray for larger areas.

Preparation

Ensure that all areas to be left uncleaned are suitably protected.
The product should not be diluted and must not be mixed before application.
The surface may be washed and cleaned before application; however, it should be dry before applying EcoSafe Strip Rust Converter.
For extremely rusty surfaces, it is necessary to wire brush the surface before treatment.

Dwell Time

The time required to remove rust depends on the type of rust and its penetration depth.

Most rust will be cleaned within 10 to 15 minutes.
For extremely rusty surfaces, it is also effective to place a rag on the surface and saturate it with the rust converter. Check the surface at 30-minute intervals to ensure rust has been converted.
