Fastset C is a pre-packed cementitious mortar specifically formulated for the quick and reliable repair of damaged concrete pavements and industrial floors. The specially selected cements and hard wearing aggregates contained in Fastset C allows the application of large areas with exceptional adhesion to concrete and masonry materials with negligible shrinkage.
Fastset C may be used as a trafficable topping for existing concrete surfaces

All contacted surfaces must be free of oil, grease or other contamination which may inhibit bond. Any cracked or weakened concrete should be removed prior to being repaired to provide a solid foundation. Scabbling or water blasting should be used to remove laitance and provide a mechanical key
The repair area should be carefully delineated. minimum application depth of 12mm is required. This may necessitate saw cutting and breaking out some material to ensure feather edging does not occur.
Priming with Rendergrip A is essential to ensure good adhesion and optimum build. Where the substrate is very porous pre-dampening with water may be required. Free water on the surface will reduce the bond and ultimate strength.
Fastset C is suitable for mixing using a drill and suitable paddle or by hand where only a small quantity is required. Use 1.6 - 1.8 litres of water per bag of Fastset C to achieve a smooth, soft mortar consistency. Excess water will reduce the final strength and make application of the screed more difficult. Always add the powder to the water while mixing slowly to avoid lumps. Only mix that quantity of material that can be used within the setting time. Do not attempt to rework or re-temper any partially set product.
Apply the mixed Fastset C to the substrate using a trowel to give the required finished thickness. The maximum thickness applied in any application should be limited to 50 mm. Feather edging should be avoided in patch repairs by saw cutting the edge of repairs to a depth of 12mm.
The application of a thin coat of Rendergrip A as a curing membrane will reduce premature drying in repairs.
Where repairs are subject to direct sun or strong winds the use of Curecon PW is recommended.
A 20 kg bag of Fastset C will cover approximately 1.0 m 2 at an average thickness of 10mm.
Rendergrip A is used at 5 to 7 m 2 per litre. A scabbled surface will reduce the area covered by the primer and topping.
