Impregnating Concrete Sealer to Enhance Color and Protect
Enhance EX is a solvent based clear penetrating sealer used to enhance the natural colours of concrete, masonry and natural stone materials while protecting them against penetration of water, oil and most staining substances. Enhance EX is a blend of alkali stable siloxane-resin in an acrylic resin solution. The product is non-yellowing and UV stable.
Application rate will vary from 2-10m2/L depending on the material porosity and application method.
Ensure substrate is clean, dust and stain free prior to application. Clean surface to remove any dirt, laitance, previous coatings or curing agents that may prevent penetration of the material.
The surface must be dry and thoroughly cured prior to application.
It is recommended to undertake a test sample to confirm the suitability of the product for specific substrates and ensure desired results are achieved.
For application to polished concrete, the recommended maximum diamond polished finish is 200grit.
Slowly stir the material until thoroughly mixed; Two coats of the product should be applied to achieve a consistent, enhanced appearance with a wet-look. The properties of the substrate such as porosity and profile will greatly influence the number of coats required.
Application may be via solvent resistant low-pressure sprayer fitted with an adjustable spray tip, roller, microfibre mop or natural hair applicator.
Either spray apply or use a soft, lint-free cloth, microfiber mop, roller or brush spread the product in a thin uniform layer, ensuring no pooling or brush marks. It is important to evenly spread material to prevent inconsistencies in the enhancement. The microfiber pad should be pre-moistened with Finseal Enhance EX prior to use.
