Designed and developed to seal spacers against penetrating or pressing water that infiltrates on the outside of the spacer


Available Options

VX SwellMaster FTR is made from hydrophilic, water-swellable synthetic rubber. It is designed to act as an external watertight sealing band for formwork spacers, preventing the entry of penetrating or pressing water on the outside of the spacer.

When water comes in contact with SwellMaster FTR, the material swells rapidly to create an immediate and strong seal. For internal sealing of hollow spacers, Vexcolt recommends using SwellMaster FTP.

Advantages

  • Penetrating water in contact with SwellMaster FTR will immediately be stopped by the fast and strong swelling of the SwellMaster FTR.
  • Install SwellMaster FTR in the middle and over the outside of the formwork spacer.
  • A minimum concrete cover of 100 mm is required.
  • The soft and elastic composition allows installation on spacers with varying diameters (refer to packaging sizes).
  • Wet the spacer before installation to make the process easier.
  • Avoid installation during continuous rain to prevent premature swelling.
  • If premature swelling occurs, the product will return to its original dimensions once fully dried.
